SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION: The front end is proposed to consist of the current Pexicon -
Digital Media Solutions web site where subscribed users could:
-
Submit
images to the database for verification via a digital signature;
-
Receive
an alarm via an SMS / E-Mail if an image is submitted they are interested in;
-
Receive
monthly updates;
SYSTEM
OPERATION:
The system allows subscribed users to add art work (pictures) to the web site as
a high-resolution jpeg.
The
image is then updated into the database and can be searched for by authorised
users (those who have paid for the ability).
When
a match is found, the user, the insurance company and the person who submitted
the image are notified by e-mail / SMS or a call.
IMAGE
ABOVE: The
image is uploaded via the web site OR via E-Mail or FTP along with the name,
surname and contacts details of the person.
IMAGE
RIGHT:
Where
a number of images exist these can be BATCH LOADED into the image database (show
on the right).
IMAGE
ABOVE: An
example of the type of data that can be associated with the image
IMAGE
RIGHT: Each
image submitted would have a unique signature:
AF03-4FD9-32B3-BD1B-2826-EF0E-95A1-C6F1
IMAGE
ABOVE: One
of the above images is not the same. Each
image was verified with the image signature, showing that the image on the right
is not the same.
The
image signatures are:
AF03-4FD9-32B3-BD1B-2826-EF0E-95A1-C6F1
AF03-4FD9-32B3-BD1B-2826-EF0E-95A1-C6F1
3D0E-A25D-F6E1-4E5E-F8D0-7C70-91DD-93FF
IMAGE
ABOVE: Where
different angles, cameras, resolution and people take the images, it is crucial
to be able to REGISTER the two images, by finding common points of interest
within each image. This is done by
moving the red crosses (1-4) to the same point in each image, so that the image
is warped to these points
IMAGE
ABOVE: One
of the above images above is not the same as the other 2.
Using a number of IMAGE OPERATIONS the similarities and differences are
highlighted in the bottom images. The
image on the right is the one that is different from the two that have not been
modified.
TECHNICAL
DETAILS:
Image submission via name and unique number and a high resolution, uniformly
lighted JPEG.
Local
submission time before able to search = 80s (does not include time to enter
image name, transmission speed etc.)
Search
parameters = name, unique number and high res digital image (JPEG)
Search
time = 4s
The
utilisation of neural network imaging software allows continual regeneration of
the templates as further images are continually added to the database.
It is crucial that similar images are appropriately identified and that
similar images are classified preventing incorrect identification. The
generation of "templates" of each image is performed over about 80s,
there after the search time is substantially reduced.
POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL MARKETING OPPERTUNITIES:
“ART THOU STOLEN”
BUYERS
OF POSSIBLE STOLEN ART WORK
The potential buyer
would submit a high resolution evenly illuminated JPEG (11 mega pixel) into the database
along with their contact details. For
a once off fee the potential owner would immediately be informed if a duplicate
existed on the site or if the art work was detected to have been stolen or
involved in a crime.
IMAGE RIGHT:
A result of a search indicates that the image
currently exists in the database.
OWNERS OF ART WORK
The owner would submit a
high resolution evenly illuminated JPEG (11 mega pixel) into the database
along with owner contact details. For
a monthly fee the owner would immediately be informed if a duplicate was
submitted to the site or if a stolen art work was detected.
CREATORS OF ART WORK
The
creators would submit a high resolution evenly illuminated JPEG (11 mega
pixel) into the database along with creator contact details.
For a monthly fee the creator would immediately be informed if a
duplicate was submitted to the site or if a stolen art work was detected.
Where the art work is regularly submitted this can be made available to
the artist.
NEXT STEP: If the above captures the essence of the project,
the minor technical changes and modifications can be sorted out in a project
meeting and project plan.
If required a LIVE DEMO of the above can be
arranged, including any appropriate art images supplied.
Please note that there is a consulting fee of R8
500.00 due before any live demo. This
is due to opportunity costs and ensures that your interest is at an appropriate
level. This amount is then deducted
from any future orders.
Yours
Faithfully,
