These vehicles were recorded using the mobile I-Cube LPR system, over a two-day period, covering Durban, north and south coast. Unfortunately I-Cube does not have the full database, but just over 5 000 vehicle are listed in the file. The information obtained included: - Owner name - Address - ID no. - Phone number - Vehicle position (GPS) - Time and date vehicle detected - Length of time vehicle was parked there - Vehicle colour - Type of vehicle - Etc. I-Cube has immediately ceased all contact with the representative who has this information, and will no longer support or provide equipment to this person. However I-Cube is aware that this person is currently seeking an alternative supplier of this technology.

IT companies have the experience in PC products, the right infrastructure to advise, quote, install, maintain, upgrade and support the new security products. IT companies should be expanding their product lines, now, on the verge of the IT recover, which is starting in the UK and the US. Dudley says a good place to start would be with his products, FACE RECOGNITION and LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION, which have traditionally been the forte of large security concerns. Both of these primarily concern PC’s with specialized software, which just happen to be connecting to cameras and responding to security aspects, possibly in the casino, mining, retail, sporting or mid sized company.
